Maryruth's green interests range from the spiritual to the mundane-from studies of eco-psychology and our reliance on the earth for emotional stability, to finding the perfect method of humanely ridding her kitchen of fruit flies; from searching for eco-friendly travel options to researching a replacement for cotton swabs. Her current academic research focus is on climate security and how that intersects with the UN Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
